This LZ fuselage tool is used to comfortably push the fuselage of a Schempp-Hirth type gliders (Arcus, Duo Discus, Nimbus, Ventus, Discus etc…) or fuselage of HPH type gliders (HPH304C WASP, HPH304ES eShark, HPH304MS Shark, HPH304S Shark), in and out of the trailer.
At the end of flying day/week the glider needs to be disassembled and the last thing to do is to push the fuselage into the trailer. Modern powered gliders, especially two seat self-launchers, have very heavy fuselages. With the help of other pilot is easier, but if you are alone, this can be a very difficult task, especially if the tail wheel is steerable – integrated in the rudder.
With latest version of LZ fuselage tool, is possible to adjust distance between front and rear attachment points, and so it is suitable for all type of gliders, with such arrangement of horizontal tail attachment.
Caution: This tool is not intended to lift the fuselage, only to push the fuselage in and out of the trailer while the tail wheel is rolling on the ground, on the extension rail and on the middle rail of a typical Cobra trailer.
